You don’t need expensive camera equipment and unnecessary lights to take professional photos. In most cases, all you need is a mobile device with a decent camera.

Keep your product at the correct distance from your phone, switch to portrait mode if you want, and make sure the room has good lighting.

Take photos from different angles so the customer can get a correct idea of what you are selling. Deceiving customers with fake or misleading pictures will only hurt your brand and make your store less trustworthy.

Take as many pictures as you want but make sure you don’t put the same or similar-looking photo twice as that may appear repetitive.

Gather your product images and transfer them to your computer. Head over to eBay website, click on the Sell button in the top right menu.

You will be taken to the Seller Hub. Make sure you are under the Listings tab and have selected the Active option in the left side menu. In the Manage active listings section click on the Create listing drop-down button, then choose the Single listing option.

Under the Start your listing section, type a generic name for the product you are trying to sell, for example, a table lamp, then click on the Search icon. You can also choose a draft or template by clicking on the Your drafts and Your templates options respectively.

eBay allows you to automate most of the work by providing you with the option to pre-fill your listing using data from similar items from the site. You can see many different listings next to the Find a match heading. Simply choose a listing that resembles your product the most. Additionally, you can set more filters to find the most accurate item.

If you cannot find a similar item or want to manually fill in all the details then click on the Continue without match button.

The Confirm details pop-up appears, choose the condition of your product here and then click on the Continue to listing button.

You will be redirected to the Complete your listing page. Here, you can add all the details about your product and finish creating your listing. Under the Photos and Video heading, click on Add photos to add the photos you just took.

You can also add any professional-looking videos you may have on your product.

Change the order of your images by dragging and dropping them around. Make sure the best photo is in front, as this will represent your product in the results.

You can also edit each photo by clicking on the Edit icon that appears when you hover over an image. You have many editing options, like changing color contrast, removing the background, cropping certain areas, and more.

Once you are done, click on the Save button. You have now uploaded your images to your listings. 🎉
